🧭 Vacancy & Pay Scale

  • Total posts: 3,131 (LDC/JSA, DEO, DEO–Grade A) 

  • Pay Level:

    • LDC/JSA: Level 2 (₹19,900–₹63,200)

    • DEO: Level 4–5 (₹25,500–₹92,300) 

✅ Eligibility Criteria

🎓 Educational Qualification

  • LDC/JSA & most DEO posts

    • Must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board/university 

  • DEO/DEO Grade A in specific ministries (Consumer Affairs, Culture):

    • 10+2 in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject 

🧒 Age Limit

  • General category: 18 to 27 years as of 1 Jan 2026

  • Date of birth between: 2 Jan 1999 – 1 Jan 2008 

🪪 Age Relaxation (as per reservation norms):

  • SC/ST: +5 years

  • OBC: +3 years

  • PWD: +10 years (cumulative in categories)

  • Ex-Servicemen: +3 years 

💰 Application Fee

  • UR/OBC/EWS: ₹100

  • SC/ST/PwD/Women/ESM: No fee

  • Payment methods: BHIM UPI, Net banking, Credit/Debit cards, or SBI Challan

🧠 Exam Pattern & Syllabus

▪ Tier I (CBT – 200 marks, 60 minutes)

  • Sections:

    • English Language – 25 Qs (50 marks)

    • Quantitative Aptitude – 25 Qs (50 marks)

    • General Intelligence – 25 Qs (50 marks)

    • General Awareness – 25 Qs (50 marks)

  • Negative marking: 0.5 marks deducted per incorrect answer

  • For PwD candidates: 80 minutes 

Topics include:

  • English: Grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, error spotting, one-word substitutions, voice, narration, idioms

  • Quantitative: Algebra, arithmetic, geometry, data interpretation

  • Intelligence: Reasoning puzzles, series, analogies, coding, Venn diagrams

  • General Awareness: History, geography, economics, polity, science, current affairs 

▪ Tier II (Objective + Skill/Typing Test – 405 marks total)

  • Session I (2 hrs 15 mins):

    • Mathematical Abilities – 30 Qs / 90 marks

    • Reasoning – 30 Qs / 90 marks

  • Session II (1 hr 15 mins):

    • English Comprehension – 40 Qs / 120 marks

    • General Awareness – 20 Qs / 60 marks

    • Computer Knowledge – 15 Qs / 45 marks 

  • Skill Test/Typing Test (qualifying):

    • DEO posts: Data entry speed test

    • LDC/JSA: Typing test of 35 wpm (English) or 30 wpm (Hindi)
